ARMADALE held on for a 47-43 win over Kent in the NDL having come back from a narrow deficit with six races remaining.
Alex Spooner completed an impressive night for the Royals by winning Heat 15 to complete a 15+1 score, with home duo Tom Woolley and Danny Phillips securing the victory with a 3-3.
Both of those Devils were big scorers with Woolley scoring 15+1 and Phillips 15, with the visitors taking a league point despite being without all of their regular top three riders.
Phillips said: “It was a shame that the weather affected the track early on. I know George (Rothery) had bike problems, without that it could have been a bit easier!
“I had started well, then dropped a couple of points before I sorted myself out and made a bike change.”
