Oxford Chargers v Middlesbrough Tigers

MIDDLESBROUGH pulled off a stunning away win over WSRA NDL champions Oxford with a 48-42 victory at Cowley on Sunday.

The Tigers were never headed in the meeting and they took control with a run of four successive 4-2s midway through the contest.

No.1 Ace Piper led the way with a 14-point haul from five rides, dropping his only point to Darryl Ritchings in Heat 11, whilst Nathan Ablitt scored nine.

Jody Scott totalled 10+1 for the Chargers and Ritchings scored 10, but they were unable to prevent a first-ever away victory for Middlesbrough in the current NDL era.
