Plymouth Gladiators v Berwick Bandits

PLYMOUTH held on for a 46-44 win over Berwick in a result which ends the Bandits’ hopes of reaching the Cab Direct Championship play-offs.

The visitors fought back from a ten-point deficit to force a last-heat decider, where they required a 5-1 from Danish duo Jonas Jeppesen and Peter Kildemand.

But whilst Jeppesen won the race, Kildemand was kept at the back by Nicolai Klindt and Scott Nicholls as the Gladiators completed their home schedule with a victory.

Klindt scored 12 with Nicholls and Joe Thompson both on 9+1, whilst Jeppesen (13+1) and Kildemand (12+1) dominated the Bandits’ scoring.
