GLASGOW were comfortable 53-37 winners over Plymouth in the Cab Direct Championship with the Tigers producing a strong all-round performance.

Dan Thompson made a successful return after a month out with a broken scaphoid as he scored ten points, and new boy Villads Nagel picked up his first paid win.

Captain Chris Harris picked himself up from a nasty opening race crash to top score with 13 points, whilst Nicolai Klindt notched 15 from six rides for the Gladiators.

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “That was our most dominant home performance of the season. We looked super-strong once again.

“Dan came back from injury and was fantastic. He’s far from 100 per cent fit but only dropped two points.

“Villads had a tough night of bike issues, but his paid win showed just how good this kid is.

“I can’t fault anyone to be honest. It’s so good for us to deliver that sort of performance, we need to do that at Ashfield more often.”
