GLASGOW put away points on the board in the BSN Series with a 47-43 victory at Berwick on Saturday.
The Tigers provided six of the 15 heat winners at Shielfield Park – three of them coming from top scorer Kyle Howarth (11+1) – but collected good points at reserve, including 8+2 from Max Perry.
Howarth and Perry put the visitors ahead with a 5-1 in Heat 4, and they led the meeting thereafter with the Bandits being frustrated by a series of retirements and falls.
Drew Kemp impressed greatly for the hosts with 14+1, dropping his only points when he failed to finish in Heat 9, and Craig Cook won his last two rides to score ten on his debut.
Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “Max was sensational and the 5-1 he scored in Heat 4 with Kyle changed the course of the meeting.
“We are delighted for him because he has worked so hard during the winter and the results are now coming for him.
“It’s a big result for us, especially after the home defeat to Edinburgh. This was the real thing tonight though, and the boys responded impressively.
“It’s the ideal start for us in the BSN Series. Now we need to kick on from that.”
