Report

WORKINGTON edged out Redcar 47-43 as their Cab Direct Championship clash at the GT Tyres Arena on Saturday went right down to the wire.

The Comets pulled back a four-point deficit to edge ahead with two races remaining, and in the finale Antti Vuolas passed the Bears’ Danny King with home guest Chris Harris snatching third place from Charles Wright.

Vuolas collected a 13-point haul for the hosts with Harris adding 12, whilst King picked up ten for the visitors.

Redcar took the aggregate point from the weekend fixtures to leave both sides on 14 with the Bears in the top four and the Comets just outside – but both have raced more matches than sixth placed Glasgow, who have 11.
