Report

KENT took all three points from their home NDL clash with Berwick as the aggregate point was decided in a Super Heat.

The Royals collected their first win of the season and the 54-34 result meant the overall scores were tied, with Ben Morley and Nathan Ablitt going on to defeat Connor Coles and Greg Blair for the additional point.

Morley had raced to a 15-point maximum for the home side whilst skipper Tom Woolley added 11, whilst Coles scored 10 for the Bullets.

Home reserve Connor King was ruled out with concussion after a Heat 2 crash with Berwick guest Jason Garrad, who then suffered a suspected broken collarbone in a later incident.

Bullets boss Jamie Courtney said: “Everyone is hugely disappointed not to have taken the aggregate point, but we had little or no luck on the afternoon.

“I said to the boys in the closing stages that shared heats were enough, but it was not to be.”
