EDINBURGH’S home clash with Birmingham was abandoned after four completed races due to rain at Armadale.
The Monarchs appeared set for a victory as they led 16-8 when a halt was called, and the Brummies had lost reserve Joe Thompson to a broken collarbone after a Heat 2 crash.
Edinburgh captain Josh Pickering said: “Conditions are just too difficult. The track was fine before the rain started but I’ve been out for eight weeks and I don’t want to be out another eight weeks.
“I thank all the fans for coming out to watch but you want to see us race in better conditions.”
