Report
KENT kept their outside hopes of a play-off place alive with a 55-35 win over Armadale at Iwade on Sunday.
Recent signing Max Clegg raced to yet another 15-point maximum for the Royals and No.1 Ben Morley was also unbeaten with 13+2.
Danny Phillips top-scored for the Devils with 10, as the visitors took some encouragement from their performance.
Manager Alan Budzynski said: “With five heats or so to go I thought we were in with a chance, but in the last three or four heats Kent’s more experienced riders were too good.
“We put up a good fight, I was proud of the boys. Everyone put in the effort and the final result doesn’t show how close the match had been. Kent were appreciative of our efforts.”
KENT 55: Max Clegg 15, Ben Morley 13+2, Sam Woolley, 8+3, Connor King 7+2, Danno Verge 6, Chris Watts 5+1, James Laker 1.
ARMADALE 35: Danny Phillips 10, Tom Woolley 9, Lee Complin 7, Josh Embleton 4+1, Gregor Millar 3+1, Elliot Kelly 2+1, Kyran Lyden 0.
