Report
BELLE Vue made it three home NDL wins in on the bounce with a 57-33 Bank Holiday victory over Oxford.
Jack Smith scored 13+1 and debutant Jake Mulford added 11 for the Colts, whilst Sam Hagon and guest Henry Atkins both scored 10+1 for the Chargers who made several late changes to their scheduled line-up.
Colts star Nathan Ablitt (9) said: “It was a great performance from all the boys but full credit to Oxford. They weren’t at full strength, but they really gave us a run for our money.
“There was a point where they made us sweat a little bit, but thankfully we all got our heads together and pushed on, and we got another big home win.
“It was great to see Jake slot into the team so quickly. We knew he would go well around here, and he fitted into our dynamic nicely.”
Meanwhile the British Youth events were won by Ace Pijper at 500cc level and Luke Harrison in the 250cc class.
