THOMAS IS A PIRATE

POOLE have moved for Jack Thomas who switches from Championship rivals Oxford to join the Pirates next season.

Thomas saw his 2022 campaign curtailed by broken wrists suffered when racing in the Premiership, and promoter Dan Ford believes he is a rider with plenty of scope to improve.

Ford said: “Jack has an absolute steal of an average. He comes in on a 4.78 and that is a figure that he is well capable of significantly increasing, and it will be interesting to see his progress.

“I am sure that the Poole fans will give him the welcome he deserves and once he gets settled here I am certain that they will be right behind him.”
