ROWE LEAVES LIONS

LEICESTER are searching for a replacement after announcing the exit of Anders Rowe with immediate effect.

Rowe stood down from the Lions following their 52-38 win at Birmingham on Wednesday, a meeting where he scored nine points – but home form has been his main concern so far.

Lions promoter Stewart Dickson said: “This hasn’t come totally out of the blue, we’ve known for a while that he wasn’t happy, and we’ve been looking for a replacement for the last three or four weeks.

“We do appreciate Anders carrying on whilst we tried to get someone in, and that search continues.

“Both rider and club have parted company on good terms, and we wish Anders well for the future.”
