PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE v EDINBURGH (Champ)

SCUNTHORPE bid to turn the tables on Edinburgh in an important Championship clash at the Eddie Wright Raceway today (Sunday, 5pm).

The Monarchs were comfortable winners when the sides met at Armadale on Friday and can steal a march in the play-off race with points on the road.

Scunthorpe bring in Kasper Andersen to guest for Jordan Palin with rider replacement in operation for Jake Allen, and James Wright makes his home debut.

Promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Of course, we’d prefer to have our full team, but speedway is a dangerous sport and we wish our injured lads a speedy recovery from their various knocks.

“I believe we’ve done our best to plug the gaps for the home meeting against Edinburgh.

“We know some of the Monarchs, such as Josh Pickering, also enjoy riding the EWR, and I believe yet another cracking meeting is on the cards.”

The match is followed by the latest round of the British Youth Championship, following on from the morning event at Redcar.
