PREVIEW: SCUNTHORPE v EDINBURGH (Champ)

SCUNTHORPE defend their 100 per cent home league record when they host Edinburgh in the Championship today (Sunday).

But something has to give at the Eddie Wright Raceway as the Scorpions, who have won all four matches on their home circuit, face the only unbeaten club in the league as the Monarchs have three wins and two draws so far.

Scunthorpe hand a home debut to Adam Ellis at No.1 but they are waiting on the fitness of Thomas Jorgensen (shoulder) after a crash in Friday’s reverse fixture at Armadale.

Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Our team spirit is second to none right now, we’ve got everyone believing and working together, and that gives you those extra points and that extra motivation. It is the team spirit that has effectively got us through so far.

“It was an amazing meeting all-round against Glasgow last Sunday and a credit to the riders of both teams because they gave us a top-class fixture.

“I’m hoping for a meeting as entertaining this week… and hopefully we’ll see another Scunthorpe victory and the Scorpions collecting another three valuable league points.”

SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Simon Lambert, Tero Aarnio, Theo Pijper, Thomas Jorgensen, Josh Macdonald, Jordan Palin.
EDINBURGH: Sam Masters, Nathan Greaves, Kye Thomson, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Joe Lawlor, William Lawson.
