SCUNTHORPE go for a sixth successive home league win when they host Berwick at the Eddie Wright Raceway tonight (Friday).

The second-placed Scorpions have recently been successful against Scottish duo Glasgow and Edinburgh, although they are waiting on the fitness of Thomas Jorgensen following a shoulder injury.

The Bandits revert to operating rider-replacement for Coty Garcia, with recent signing Kasper Andersen unavailable.

Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “The confidence is there in the team, you can see it, and we’ve taken some of the best on and beaten them already in the likes of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

“We certainly won’t take the challenge of Berwick lightly. We already know what the Bandits are capable of, from our visit there earlier this season.

“We’ll be out there to do a professional job and get that job done and let’s hope we can make it six home league wins on the bounce.”

SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Simon Lambert, Theo Pijper, Tero Aarnio, Thomas Jorgensen, Josh MacDonald, Jordan Palin.
BERWICK: Jye Etheridge, Coty Garcia r/r, Aaron Summers, Dany Gappmaier, Nikolaj B Jakobsen, Kyle Bickley, Leon Flint.
