PREVIEW: REDCAR v SCUNTHORPE (Champ)

REDCAR welcome Scunthorpe to the Media Prima Arena tonight (Friday) with both teams starting the meeting in the Championship’s top four.

The Scorpions edged a thrilling contest between the sides when they last met at the Eddie Wright Raceway, and the Bears are now keen to turn the tables.

Redcar name an unchanged side with rider replacement for Jordan Stewart, whilst Scunthorpe bring in Max Clegg to guest for Theo Pijper, who is on longtrack duty, and operate r/r for Tero Aarnio who is reported to be unavailable.

Bears star James Sarjeant said: “Redcar is a difficult home track as the circuit is always well prepared, but last Friday proved how much of a good side we are as we came back to beat Poole who have some strong riders.

“If we keep riding like we can, I can’t see why we cannot finish in the top two of the league, we just need to keep winning our home meetings and pick up points away from home.”

Scorpions promoter Rob Godfrey said: “Redcar nearly took a win at our place a couple of weeks ago in a brilliant speedway meeting.

“It’s now our turn to attempt to repay that compliment and come away from Redcar with a victory.”

REDCAR: Charles Wright, James Sarjeant, Jake Allen, Jordan Stewart r/r, Michael Palm Toft, Anders Rowe, Jordan Jenkins.
SCUNTHORPE: Adam Ellis, Simon Lambert, Max Clegg, Tero Aarnio r/r, Thomas Jorgensen, Jordan Palin, Josh MacDonald.
