PREVIEW: POOLE v GLASGOW (Champ Grand Final)

POOLE trail Glasgow by ten points heading into the second and decisive leg of the Championship Grand Final at Wimborne Road tonight (Thursday).

The Tigers take a 50-40 advantage to Dorset but face a Pirates side who are unbeaten at home this season and who recorded a 56-34 victory over the same opposition in September.

Both sides are unchanged from the first leg with Zach Cook continuing to guest at reserve for Poole in place of the injured Stefan Nielsen.

Poole co-promoter Danny Ford said: “I cannot emphasise enough just how important our fans are going to be to us on Thursday.

“If they can amass in numbers and create that unique atmosphere that we have experienced on Finals night in past seasons, then we could be in a great position to haul back those ten points.”

Glasgow No.1 Craig Cook said: “We’re still in it – 15 races to go. We know the set-up, we know what we did last time and what we did wrong last time.

“We’re going there with positive vibes, we’re looking forward to Thursday and hopefully we can bring the trophy back to Scotland.”

POOLE: Steve Worrall, Danyon Hume, Rory Schlein, Ben Cook, Danny King, Zach Cook, Benjamin Basso.
GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Broc Nicol, Sam Jensen, Tom Brennan, Ricky Wells, Marcin Nowak, Connor Bailey.
