PREVIEW: KENT v POOLE (Champ)
POOLE make their first-ever club visit to Kent tonight (Tuesday) as they look to extend an unbeaten run of six meetings.
The Pirates won at Leicester at the weekend and once again track James Wright as a guest for the injured Ben Cook, whilst former Kings rider Jack Thomas steps in for the absent Ondrej Smetana.
The home side are set to welcome back Cameron Heeps after injury and continue to operate rider replacement for the retired Tom Bacon – although promoter Len Silver has confirmed a new signing is set to join in August.
Poole boss Neil Middleditch said: “I have many fond memories of going to the county of Kent when I was racing.
“Riding for Eastbourne meant our trips to Canterbury were fuelled by the local derby fever and I often reflect on those days, and of course I will always remember winning my U21 title at Canterbury all those years ago.”
KENT: Scott Nicholls, Tom Bacon r/r, Paul Starke, Paul Hurry, Cameron Heeps, Ben Morley, Dan Gilkes.
POOLE: Rory Schlein, Jack Thomas, Steve Worrall, Stefan Nielsen, Danny King, James Wright, Danyon Hume.
