PREVIEW: KENT v LEICESTER (Champ)

LEICESTER face two away meeting in as many days – starting at Kent tonight (Tuesday).

Stewart Dickson’s side make the long trip for a rearranged fixture before hitting the road again up to Glasgow 24-hours later, and two wins could still see them have a say in the battle for a top two finish and automatic qualification for the Championship play-off semi-finals.

Lions skipper Kyle Howarth said: “It’s a lot of travelling but it’s time on the bike and we’ve got a lot of meetings in a short space of time.

“We’re playing catch-up with the Leicester away fixtures after recent rain-offs and the travelling aspect of quick turnaround of meetings is very demanding, but after missing an entire season last year I’m not complaining!

“This is the business end of the season and we know Kent will be tough with riders like Scott Nicholls and Troy Batchelor in their team.”

KENT: Troy Batchelor, Ben Morley, Paul Starke, Cameron Heeps, Scott Nicholls, Jake Mulford, Dan Gilkes.
LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Dan Thompson, Hans Andersen, Kyle Howarth, Ryan Douglas, Joe Thompson, Zaine Kennedy.
