PREVIEW: KENT v GLASGOW (Champ)
GLASGOW boss Cami Brown says reserve Jack Smith has a big part to play both on and off the track at Kent tonight (Tuesday).
The early Championship pace-setters visit Central Park for the Kings’ first home Championship fixture – and will hope to take advantage of Smith’s prior track knowledge from his successful previous visits in the National Development League.
Brown said: “The target is to get a win there. If we can win at Kent we’ll be sitting nicely and will have made a good start.
“Only one of our riders has been to Kent before and that is Jack, who’s been there multiple times.
“I’ve spoken to Jack in depth and said to him, you have to relay all your knowledge and experience. He’s a reserve but he’s been around the game long enough, and I’ve told him that the other guys will listen to him.”
The hosts are without Cameron Heeps due to injury.
KENT: Scott Nicholls, Paul Hurry, Paul Starke, Tom Bacon, TBC, Ben Morley, Dan Gilkes.
GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Broc Nicol, Ulrich Ostergaard, Justin Sedgmen, Ricky Wells, Sam Jensen, Jack Smith.
