PREVIEW: GLASGOW v KENT (Champ)

GLASGOW launch their Championship challenge against league newcomers Kent tonight (Friday) – although supporters are sadly not able to attend Ashfield.

The Tigers will instead put on a live-stream of the event with full details available at tv.glasgowtigers.co.uk .

Manager Cami Brown said: “We’re gutted we can’t have fans back yet – there’s no feeling like winning a match in front a stadium full of noisy and passionate Glaswegians.

“The moment the tapes go up on the first heat of a new season is special, and we’d love to be doing it with supporters new and old.

“But we’re aiming to use this as a real opportunity to showcase the thrilling racing that Ashfield can produce to a wider crowd.”

Kent will go into the meeting without Paul Hurry, who has had an adverse reaction to his recent Covid vaccination. Reserve Daniel Gilkes is on European U19 duty in Hungary, with Jake Mulford stepping in.

GLASGOW: Craig Cook, Broc Nicol, Ulrich Ostergaard, Justin Sedgmen, Ricky Wells, Sam Jensen, Jack Smith.
KENT: Scott Nicholls, Paul Hurry r/r, Paul Starke, Tom Bacon, Cameron Heeps, Ben Morley, Jake Mulford.
