PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v REDCAR (KOC SF)

EDINBURGH hope to return to full strength for tonight’s (Friday) KO Cup semi-final clash with Redcar at Armadale.

The Monarchs have declared skipper Sam Masters back in the side three weeks after he suffered shoulder and collarbone injuries in the match against Glasgow.

Meanwhile the Bears bring in Richard Lawson to guest for Erik Riss in the first leg tie, with the return set for the Ecco Arena in a fortnight.

Monarchs star Kye Thomson said: “I think we have the team do it, I think we can put on a strong performance and do a good job.

“We know Redcar, and our way round Redcar as well, and obviously last year we were able to beat them in the quarter-final for the league, so I think we have a good shot of doing the same this time. They are a good team, but I think we can do it.”
