PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v LEICESTER (Champ)
EDINBURGH are unbeaten from four matches in all competitions as they prepare to face league champions Leicester at Armadale tonight (Friday).
The Monarchs have, however, been run close twice on their own circuit including a draw against Redcar – and know they need to fire as a unit when the Lions come to town.
Home man Josh Pickering said: “I feel like some of their guys won’t fire as they would elsewhere, and if we ride like a team like we did at Newcastle we should beat them.”
The Lions are set to be at full strength with both Kyle Howarth and Josh Bates recovering from recent knocks.
Boss Stewart Dickson said: “It was a concern when Kyle crashed on Sunday, but he dusted himself down and helped us towards the victory over Berwick.
“He had to get things checked out after that and late on Thursday he’s informed us he is fit to race.
“It’s an important weekend for us and how we perform in the two meetings should also give me a good indication of what’s required going forward.”
EDINBURGH: Sam Masters, Nathan Greaves, Kye Thomson, Josh Pickering, Richie Worrall, Joe Lawlor, William Lawson.
LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Ty Proctor, Kyle Howarth, Josh Bates, Ryan Douglas, Dan Thompson, Joe Thompson.
