NEW DATES FOR GRAND FINAL
GLASGOW and Poole have rescheduled dates for the Championship Grand Final which will now be resolved in the first week of November.
The clubs have been granted an extension to the season to race the deciding fixtures after bad weather again forced the postponement of Thursday’s first leg at Ashfield, and the meetings will now take place next Tuesday and Thursday.
Poole co-promoter Danny Ford said: “Clearly this is not an ideal situation to have to call the meetings off this week, but the weather has not been great, and the forecasts are far from encouraging.
“The Grand Final is the biggest meeting of the season for any club, and it is only right for it to be a memorable occasion.
“We have been monitoring the situation closely as both clubs felt that pushing through with these meetings for the sake of trying to beat the original deadline of the end of October would not be in the best interests of the fans and riders of both clubs.”
