HEEPS BACK FOR KINGS

KENT have been boosted by the return to fitness of Cameron Heeps ahead of their trip to Redcar on Friday.

But the Kings are still being frustrated in their bid to sign a replacement for Tom Bacon as initial talent Kasper Andersen has now joined Berwick, and a potential move for Josh Auty also fell through.

Promoter Len Silver said: “Chris (Hunt) and I had some good news when Cameron confirmed that he will be fit to ride in our next match which is at Redcar this Friday.

“I know that he has performed very well there in the past, so I am hoping that he quickly gets back in the groove.

“We will be taking Jake (Mulford) with us as No.8 and intend to give him an outing as we give him the chance to improve and become a full team member. He has the talent and just needs the experience.”
