PLYMOUTH have named five members of their septet for the 2022 Championship campaign.
The Gladiators will welcome back former British No.2 Richard Lawson (pictured) after a successful late-season stint with the club, and the new heat-leader trio is completed by Michael Palm Toft and Edward Kennett who join from Redcar and Eastbourne respectively.
Alfie Bowtell and Henry Atkins are back with the Coliseum side, with Atkins returning after injury wrecked his 2021 season.
Promoter Mark Phillips said: “With Richard, Michael and Edward joining the team to give us top-end strength and to support and mentor the outstanding potential of young Henry Atkins and the very progressive and popular Alfie Bowtell, I feel we have made a great start towards a successful 2022 season.
“Garry May made a huge impact when he arrived at the club as team manager last summer, and having inherited the 2021 team that had to be built very quickly to meet BSPL approval, is now moulding a terrific looking team of his choice using all of his trophy-winning experience and excellent contacts and knowledge of the sport. We can’t wait to get started.”
