BRUMMIES SIGN NIELSEN

STEFAN Nielsen will return to the scene of his season-ending horror crash when he lines up for Birmingham next season.

Nielsen, who was with Poole this year, crashed out of the Pirates’ Perry Barr clash on September 1 and suffered multiple injuries – but he has now agreed terms as the fourth signing for the new-look Brummies in 2022.

He said: “I scored zero points from less than one lap on my one and only visit to the Birmingham track this year.

“Having said that, it’s not the first time I’ve done this over the years, so it’s nothing that I’m worried about. I have had some good results around Birmingham in the past and I’m looking forward to more of them to come in 2022.

“It feels really good to be with Birmingham. They are a great club and now that they have been saved and have new owners, it’s all very exciting and everyone is in a positive frame of mind and want to put on a good show for the fans.

“I’m really looking forward to putting on the Brummies race-jacket and giving it my all for the club.”
