BOWTELL JOINS BRUMMIES

BIRMINGHAM now have just one team spot left to fill after Alfie Bowtell agreed to join the club from Plymouth.

Bowtell ended the season on the sidelines with knee ligament damage but is now well on his way back to full fitness and keen to continue his progress in the Championship.

Brummies manager Laurence Rogers said: “Alfie is a rider who always gives 110 per cent when he’s out there, and he never gives up and never stops trying.

“He had a few meetings at Perry Barr last season and, particularly when he rode for us, we were impressed.

“Alfie has made some pretty good progress with Plymouth over the past couple of seasons and this year especially, he showed some really good form in the main body of their team.

“We’re confident, and Alfie is confident, he can kick on even further at a track he enjoys riding even more, and he’s a really good person to have around the club as well.”
