BANDITS MOVE FOR ANDERSEN

BERWICK have moved to bring in Danish racer Kasper Andersen due to continued uncertainty over Coty Garcia.

Andersen will make his Bandits debut against Glasgow on Saturday with Garcia having been stuck in Argentina throughout the season due to Covid restrictions – and he is now nursing his father who has contracted the virus.

Manager Gary Flint said: “We are delighted to welcome Kasper to the side, and we firmly believe that the sky is the limit for him in his speedway career.

“He’s a level-headed lad who wants to crack on and he is also a very positive influence on his team-mates, and we welcome that with open arms here at Berwick.

“Welcoming Kasper to the side is fantastic, but there is also a bittersweet feeling for all of us behind the scenes, and on behalf of the management team we send our very best wishes to Coty Garcia and his family.”
