TIGERS TURN ON THE POWER

GLASGOW gave their Cab Direct Championship play-off hopes a real boost with an emphatic 58-32 win over Plymouth at Ashfield.

Chris Harris and Steve Worrall both scored 14+1 paid maximums, Worrall going through the card for the first time in Tigers colours.

The result pushes the defending champions up to fifth position in the league table, and hot on the heels of the sides in the play-off positions.

Manager Cami Brown said: “We needed another big show from the boys and they delivered. It was our first powerhouse show of the season.

“After the two wins over Berwick last weekend I told the boys I still wanted more from them.

“But I’m confident this side has got the ability to push on now like I asked.

“Some of the lads are getting more belief and they showed that against a very dangerous Plymouth side.”

Dan Thompson top-scored on a tough night for the Gladiators with 10+1.
