THOMSEN KEEN TO GO AGAIN

POOLE’S popular Danish star Tobias Thomsen feels he will be better for the experience of 2024 and can make an even stronger contribution this year.

Thomsen played a big part in the Pirates’ treble at Cab Direct Championship level last season, and he is now looking forward to their defence of the silverware, starting against Oxford in the BSN Series next week.

He said: “I think this year might be a bit easier for me. I’m a bit wiser, and I know what to do and what not to do.

“Also I have been to most of the tracks now and it’s going to be a bit more helpful for me to get there now and get going in the first heat.

“I just want to get going. It’s been frustrating waiting around for the season to start, but we will soon get going.

“I am looking forward to getting the number one spot in the first heat. That will be perfect for me.”
