SMITH STAYING WITH BANDITS
BERWICK have upgraded Jack Smith’s 28-day deal into a team place for the remainder of the season.
Smith came in for the Bandits recently after Danish rider Bastian Borke struggled on his return from a long-term knee injury and was stood down by the club.
And having scored steadily so far, including an eight-point return at Glasgow, Smith has now earned himself a full contract.
Manager Stewart Dickson said: “We wish Bastian well and thank him for his contribution to Berwick since joining us at the start of 2024.”
However, the Bandits now have another concern with their other reserve Dayle Wood facing four to six weeks on the sidelines after breaking a bone in his wrist in a crash at Oxford last Sunday.
