SEASON OVER FOR SCHLEIN?

BERWICK have confirmed skipper Rory Schlein is expected to miss the remainder of the season after his crash on Friday.

Schlein came to grief in Heat 6 of the Bandits’ match at Scunthorpe and X-rays have revealed a fractured vertebra in his neck in addition to a broken scapula.

Lewis Kerr is to take over the team captaincy with Zach Cook being booked to guest for Schlein in the trip to Plymouth on Tuesday.

The Bandits also have Jye Etheridge and Bastian Borke on the sidelines at present, with Jason Edwards and Paul Starke set to step in at the Coliseum.
