SCORPIONS EDGE OUT CHEETAHS

SCUNTHORPE defeated Oxford 47-43 at the Eddie Wright Raceway – and the teams will meet again next month in the Cab Direct Championship play-offs!

The Scorpions completed their regular league campaign in third position in the table, with the Cheetahs taking the aggregate point which ensures they finish second, but they now cannot catch Poole at the top.

The meeting went down to a last heat decider with four points between the sides, with Jake Allen overcoming Scott Nicholls to clinch victory for the hosts.

Allen topped the Scorpions’ scoring with 12 points whilst Jordan Jenkins led the way for the Cheetahs with 13 and Nicholls scored 11+2.
