PREVIEW: REDCAR v GLASGOW (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)
REDCAR are seeking to get off the mark in the Cab Direct Championship when they host title holders Glasgow at the ECCO Arena today (Saturday, 5pm).
The Bears have lost all five league matches so far after an injury-hit campaign, and they once again call upon Tate Zischke to guest for Danny King whilst Dan Gilkes makes his home debut.
The Tigers are at full strength and have won one of their two league matches so far, but they too are seeking an upturn in results after BSN Series disappointment against Edinburgh.
Redcar co-promoter Jamie Swales said: “I don’t think Glasgow are as strong as Scunthorpe so if we can take our performance forward from the meeting last night, I think we should be okay.
Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “It’s going to be a difficult one at Redcar because they are a good team. But we will need to do something.
“We weren’t good enough at Workington and we lost the aggregate bonus point.
“We need to find some momentum now. That starts with a win at Redcar. That would really kick start our league play-off push.”
REDCAR: Charles Wright, Connor Bailey, Dan Gilkes, Jason Edwards, Tate Zischke, Ben Trigger, Jake Mulford.
GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Paul Starke, Leon Flint, James Pearson, Steve Worrall, Jack Smith, Ace Pijper.
SCB Referee: Michael Breckon
