PREVIEW: REDCAR v EDINBURGH (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

REDCAR and Edinburgh both look to climb the Cab Direct Championship table when they meet at the ECCO Arena tonight (Friday).

The Bears are seventh but have shown encouraging signs in recent weeks and are set to be boosted by the return of Danny King after a lengthy injury absence.

Meanwhile the Monarchs are bottom but have matches in hand on the majority of their rivals, and a first away win of the league campaign would be a major boost.

The visitors are forced into one change with Max James still out with a rib injury, so Academy rider Dayle Wood steps in.

Bears boss Gavin Parr said: “After our recent run of good results I am hoping to keep the feel-good factor going, but I am not taking Edinburgh for granted.

“They have a good side with riders who ride the ECCO Arena well, but the lads are all up for the challenge.

“Hopefully we are getting towards turning that corner, we had a superb home win against Glasgow, a good win at Plymouth and then ran Poole really close.”

REDCAR: Charles Wright, Connor Bailey, Dan Gilkes, Jason Edwards, Danny King, Ben Trigger, Jake Mulford.
EDINBURGH: Josh Pickering, Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Justin Sedgmen, Dayle Wood, Connor Coles.
SCB Referee: Graeme Hunter
