PREVIEW: REDCAR v BIRMINGHAM (BSN SERIES)

REDCAR need to avoid defeat after 15 races in their home clash with Birmingham tonight (Saturday) to book a place in the BSN Series semi-finals.

The three group winners have been decided but the spot for best runner-up is still to be decided, and the Bears are in control after their win at Perry Barr last week.

Richard Lawson guests at No.1 for Erik Riss, who is looking to make his comeback from illness next week, whilst the Brummies track Zach Cook as a guest for the injured James Wright.

Bears boss Gavin Parr said: “Birmingham cannot be taken lightly at all, Nick Morris is a No.1 in any team and Justin Sedgmen is the kind of rider who can go out there and get you six or 14.

“Stefan Nielsen also rides our place really well and their two reserves are also good on their day, but I would be very disappointed if we weren’t in the semi-finals by the end of Saturday’s meeting.”

REDCAR: Richard Lawson, Danyon Hume, Charles Wright, Connor Bailey, Danny King, Jason Edwards, Jake Mulford.
BIRMINGHAM: Nick Morris, Alfie Bowtell, Zach Cook, Stefan Nielsen, Justin Sedgmen, Ty Proctor, James Pearson.
