PREVIEW: POOLE v REDCAR (CAB DIRECT CHAMP P/O S/F)

POOLE and Redcar are all set to get their semi-final of the Cab Direct Championship play-offs underway when they meet at Wimborne Road tonight (Tuesday).

Both scheduled legs of the tie last week fell victim to the weather so the opener is again scheduled for Dorset as the defending champions look to build a lead ahead of the return early next month.

Poole are at full strength whilst Redcar name the same team as they had planned last week, with Nick Morris guesting for the unwell Erik Riss.

Bears boss Gavin Parr said: “Poole have been the best team in the division for most of the previous five seasons, apart from when Glasgow took the title.

“However, we are in really good form and with the way we have been riding, anything is possible.

“Historically, people always want the second leg at home but at the end of the day, you have to race at both tracks and get to 91 points so I don’t think it makes a huge amount of difference, but it is nice to have the deciding leg at the ECCO Arena.”
