PREVIEW: POOLE v EDINBURGH (Cab Direct Champ P/O Group A)

POOLE have the chance to book their place in the Cab Direct Championship Grand Final when they host Edinburgh at Wimborne Road tonight (Wednesday).

With Scunthorpe having completed their fixtures in Group A with six points, the Pirates need just one more win to overhaul them from their two clashes with the Monarchs this week.
Anders Rowe misses out for the home side with concussion after his crash last week, whilst Edinburgh operate rider replacement for the suspended Craig Cook.

Poole promoter Dan Ford said: “I think it is fair to claim that Edinburgh will be massive underdogs, but with that label it also means they have nothing to prove and no pressure on themselves.

“They will, I’m sure, be looking to go out there and claim an upset and earn some money. So we have got to be on our guard. We can’t fall into complacency like I think we did here a fortnight ago against Scunthorpe.

“Wimborne Road has been a real fortress for us and we want to keep it that way. We go into Wednesday on the back of that fine away win at Scunthorpe and that provides us with additional momentum.”

POOLE: Richard Lawson, Anders Rowe r/r, Ben Cook, Zach Cook, Steve Worrall, Kyle Newman, Joe Thompson.
EDINBURGH: Craig Cook r/r, Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Josh Pickering, Dayle Wood, Bastian Borke.
