PREVIEW: PLYMOUTH v OXFORD (BSN SERIES)

PLYMOUTH finally race their first official team meeting of the season tonight (Tuesday) as they host Oxford in the BSN Series at the Coliseum.

Heat-leaders Kyle Howarth and Richie Worrall are amongst the riders making their home debuts for the Gladiators, whilst the Cheetahs are already in must-win territory regarding possible progression to the semi-finals.

The Cowley side lost their opening fixtures home and away against Poole, and boss Peter Schroeck is targeting a turnaround from those results in Devon.

Schroeck said: “This remains a must-win fixture for us, and we’ve got every intention of upsetting Plymouth on their home track.

“It’s tight and technical, so another unique circuit we’ll have to adapt to. But we have experience in the team and our younger riders have familiarised themselves with the layout in previous meetings.

“What’s important is we restrict last places to a minimum. Placing in the minor points scoring positions will be crucial if we’re to remain in the competition.”

PLYMOUTH: Kyle Howarth, Dan Gilkes, Paul Starke, Ben Barker, Richie Worrall, Jake Turner, Ben Trigger.
OXFORD: Sam Masters, Cameron Heeps, Scott Nicholls, Jordan Jenkins, Lewis Kerr, Henry Atkins, Luke Killeen.
