PREVIEW: OXFORD v PLYMOUTH (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

OXFORD will look to take another step towards the Cab Direct Championship play-offs when they host Plymouth at Cowley tonight (Wednesday).

The Cheetahs sit third in the table and a win would open up a six-point gap on the chasing pack, the majority of whom have raced more matches.

With Adam Roynon still sidelined at reserve, Chargers youngster Jody Scott is again called up to the senior side, whilst the Gladiators track Jason Edwards as a guest at No.1 for the injured Nico Covatti.

Cheetahs manager Peter Schroeck said: “Plymouth pushed us very hard at Oxford earlier in the season. We never discount the opposition, and we always treat them with respect.

“But we were still finding our feet and our form when we last rode Plymouth. Cam (Heeps) and Jordan (Jenkins) are now flying around Oxford and providing excellent back-up to Sam (Masters) and Scott (Nicholls).

“Our other lads are also keen to have a good night and we’ve every chance of building up a nice lead for when we visit Plymouth at the end of the month.”

OXFORD: Sam Masters, Cameron Heeps, Ashton Boughen, Jordan Jenkins, Scott Nicholls, Luke Killeen, Jody Scott.
PLYMOUTH: Jason Edwards, Alfie Bowtell, Dan Thompson, Patrick Baek, Ben Barker, Joe Thompson, Jacob Hook.
SCB Referee: Barbara Horley
