PREVIEW: GLASGOW v OXFORD (CAB DIRECT KO CUP)

GLASGOW host Oxford in the first leg of an attractive Cab Direct KO Cup quarter-final tonight (Friday) – after the clubs fought out a play-off thriller last autumn.

The Tigers were taken to the wire en route to the league title and edged out the Cheetahs to reach the Grand Final in a dramatic finish at Ashfield.

Cup progress is on the line on this occasion with the tie to be concluded at Oxford next Wednesday.

The home side bring in Jack Smith at reserve to deputise for the suspended Lee Complin, with the teams otherwise at full strength.

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “Oxford are a very strong side and we had a few humdinger meetings with them last year – and they are mainly unchanged from 2023.

“It’s going to be a big meeting because our boys still need laps and to be sharper. But we will be ready to go.”

GLASGOW: Chris Harris, James Pearson, Leon Flint, Paul Starke, Steve Worrall, Ace Pijper, Jack Smith.
OXFORD: Sam Masters, Henry Atkins, Cameron Heeps, Jordan Jenkins, Scott Nicholls, Ashton Boughen, Luke Killeen.
SCB Referee: Willie Dishington
