PREVIEW: GLASGOW v EDINBURGH (BSN SERIES)

GLASGOW and Edinburgh clash in a crucial BSN Series contest at Ashfield today (Sunday, 3pm) which will resolve the Scottish section.

The winners of the match will top the group and secure a semi-final place, whilst a draw would leave the situation in Glasgow’s favour regardless of any Super Heat outcome, with the sides having finished 45-45 when they met at Armadale last month.

Both sides are at full strength with Leon Flint and Mario Hausl returning for the Tigers after missing last weekend’s MAXiCab KO Cup exit to Plymouth, whilst former Glasgow star Dan Thompson is back at No.1 for the Monarchs.

Tigers boss Cami Brown said: “The Scottish derby always brings out an extra few per cent from every rider, they know what it means to the fans.

“We know what our top three can do. They’ve been consistent but they need a bit more back-up. If we can do that, we can get the results we want and need.

“We know this is the meeting that all the fans from both clubs love the most and there will be a special atmosphere at Ashfield on Sunday afternoon.

“Last season we had four sensational meetings with the Monarchs at our place. Three of them, on aggregate, ended with just two points between the sides. It’s going to be a close call again this season. It should be another cracker.”

GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Mario Hausl, Leon Flint, Kevin Juhl Pedersen, Kyle Howarth, Sam Hagon, Freddy Hodder.

EDINBURGH: Dan Thompson, Jonatan Grahn, Justin Sedgmen, Paco Castagna, Kye Thomson, Mitchell Cluff, Jordy Loftus.

SCB Referee: Michael Breckon
