PREVIEW: EDINBURGH v GLASGOW (BSN SERIES)

EDINBURGH and Glasgow meet in a massive Scottish derby at Armadale tonight (Friday) with BSN Series semi-final qualification at stake.

The Monarchs lead the table after their dramatic Super Heat win at Ashfield earlier in the month, and they need to avoid defeat in the return fixture to progress, whilst the Tigers must win inside the regular 15 races.

Craig Cook again guests for the injured Josh Pickering for the home side, whilst the Glasgow one-to-seven now includes Jack Smith who has replaced the banned Lee Complin.

Edinburgh manager Alex Harkess said: “It is in our hands, it is as simple as that. We rode very well there, so on the surface we have nothing to fear.

“The only result that matters is that we win and let’s hope we can do that. If they are all fit and all produce what they are capable of, then we should be fine.”

Glasgow boss Cami Brown said: “The target is 46 points and that’s it. If we manage to do that, we go through, simple.

“It won’t be easy. We’ve not got anywhere near our top form yet this season. Edinburgh have looked promising at times but have also struggled.

“It’s a hard one to call on current form, it will come down to who turns up and delivers on the night.

“It’s now up to our boys to show what they are made of. If they can get 46 points and take the win and qualify for the semis, the fans will love it.”

EDINBURGH: Craig Cook, Lasse Fredriksen, Kye Thomson, Paco Castagna, Justin Sedgmen, Max James, Connor Coles.
GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Paul Starke, Leon Flint, James Pearson, Steve Worrall, Jack Smith, Ace Pijper.
SCB Referee: Michael Breckon
