PREVIEW: BIRMINGHAM v REDCAR (BSN SERIES)

BIRMINGHAM host Redcar in the BSN Series tonight (Wednesday) with both sides keen to get off the mark in the Northern section.

The Bears still have a chance of catching group leaders Scunthorpe but are likely to need maximum points from their remaining three fixtures to do so.

Zach Cook guests for the injured James Wright for the home side and Joe Thompson replaces the unwell Ty Proctor, whilst Richard Lawson comes in for the visitors with Erik Riss still ruled out.

Birmingham boss Laurence Rogers said: “Redcar have put together a solid looking team this year and it should be a good speedway meeting.

“Things may not have started as we wanted them to but clearly the lads need as much track time as possible to get themselves going.

“I have every faith in all of them and they have all shown glimpses of the form we know they are capable of.

“Using the BSN Series to regain match fitness is important as the main aim is progress in the league, which gets underway in a few weeks’ time, to get into those play-offs.”
