PREVIEW: BERWICK v REDCAR (CAB DIRECT CHAMP)

BERWICK are back at home for the first time in five weeks as they host Redcar in the Cab Direct Championship tonight (Saturday).

And Bandits manager Stewart Dickson has described the meeting as “must-win” with the two sides having fought out several close contests in recent years.

The home side bring in Kyle Howarth to guest for Peter Kildemand who is out with a knee injury, whilst Simon Lambert comes in for Jason Edwards for the Bears, who started the weekend with a home win over Edinburgh.

Dickson said: “Losing at Poole on Wednesday was a disappointment, and we threw one or two points away.

“But the only thing to do is dust ourselves down and prepare for a must-win meeting on Saturday.

“Everyone knows how Redcar constructed their team, and one of their top four appears in all but one of the 14 programmed heats.

“While I would expect Craig and Kyle to do the business at the top end, we need the middle order to make sure that they are picking up the points. No last places is the order of the day.”
