PREVIEW: BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN SERIES)

BERWICK and Glasgow will try again in the BSN Series at Shielfield Park tonight (Saturday) after Friday’s Ashfield clash was abandoned.

The Tigers led 22-14 after six races before rain forced the curtailment of racing, and that meeting will need to be re-staged.

Both sides are at full strength for the return, with Glasgow skipper Tom Brennan available after the re-scheduling of Great Britain’s FIME European Team Championship round in the Czech Republic, which may now take place on Sunday.

Berwick boss Gary Flint said: “I don’t think anyone was disagreed with the decision. There seemed little or no chance of the rain clearing, so hanging around and waiting would have been a waste of time.

“Rory (Schlein) and Connor (Coles) again led the way while Nathan (Stoneman) also looked pretty sharp from the gate in his two rides.

“Focus now shifts to getting bikes and kevlars washed down overnight ready for the match-up at Shielfield.”

BERWICK: Thomas Jorgensen, Jonas Knudsen, Leon Flint, Jye Etheridge, Rory Schlein, Connor Coles, Nathan Stoneman.
GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Marcin Nowak, Tom Brennan, Claus Vissing, Benjamin Basso, Lee Complin, Ace Pijper.
