PIRATES KEEN TO REWARD FANS

POOLE have reported a further upturn in season ticket sales ahead of their bid to reclaim the Cab Direct Championship and KO Cup titles.

The news continues a year-on-year trend of increases for the Pirates, who launch their 2024 campaign with a Good Friday (March 29) showdown with Oxford in the BSN Series at Wimborne Road.

Co-promoter Dan Ford said: “I am really pleased to see so many supporters sticking by us and showing their loyalty.

“Since we became a Championship team we have seen the number of people wanting to be Poole Speedway season ticket holders increase, and that is so encouraging for us as a club especially as, by our standards, we had a barren 2023, with just the BSN title claimed.

“I can’t emphasise enough just how much we value the backing of our fans, and when we talk to riders we make it clear that we want to win because we believe our fans deserve winning sides.

“It hurt us last year allowing the league and Cup to get away, but I can assure our supporters that the riders we have assembled for 2024 are as determined as I am to get those trophies back in our cabinet.”
