PIRATES INTO BSN FINAL

POOLE have booked their place in the BSN Series Final after drawing 45-45 at Workington on Saturday.

The Pirates already held a 28-point advantage heading into the second leg and so were always strong favourites to continue their defence of the silverware.

But the Comets put in a gusty display to fight back from six points down on the day to level the scores with a 5-1 in an exciting Heat 15 as Troy Batchelor and Antti Vuolas defeated Ben Cook and Tom Brennan.

Batchelor scored 12 and Vuolas 10+1 for the home side with Brennan collecting 10 for the Pirates, who will face Scunthorpe or Edinburgh in the Final.
