PIRATES GO FOR A REPEAT

POOLE promoter Dan Ford believes his winter signings will leave the club well placed for success as they bid to repeat last season’s incredible Treble success.

The Pirates completed a clean sweep of the Cab Direct Championship, KO Cup and BSN Series in 2024 – and despite having to rebuild without Tom Brennan and Ben Cook, Ford is confident they cam produce the goods again.

He said: “Last year was absolutely phenomenal, my favourite year. We had a fantastic team and those Finals against Oxford were some of the best meetings I have ever seen. Tensions were high and it was great to be involved with.

“But we knew we would have to make team changes, and our task was made a little bit easier with the decisions of Tom and Ben to move on from the Championship.

“To try and find two heat leaders is no easy task, especially when you have to lose six and a half points of your team average, but bringing in Lewi (Lewis Kerr) and Anders (Rowe) I am confident we can fill that void.”
